The "Dacha"

We have rebuilt our Four Season House from the foundation up.  The new house is called "The Dacha."  Dacha is the Russian word for a country vacation home.  Pronounced "Da-tcha," we think of the new house as our home away from home that we can visit year round.  The Dacha is in the footprint of the Four Season House.  It sits atop a hill overlooking Caspian Lake to the south. Enjoy views from giant picture windows overlooking the lake.   The main floor has an open floor plan, combining the living room, dining area, and kitchen with breakfast bar made of sawn cherry that was cut from 15 feet away from the house.  The living room has a cozy wood stove.  Stairs lead up to the lookout/library, which is the perfect spot for enjoying the view, reading, and overflow sleeping space.  The master bedroom on the main level looks out to the lake.  A large main bath with separate soaking tub and shower is on the main floor.  Completing the main floor is an office and craft space.  The Dacha is built for year round comfort.  It has radiant heat in the kitchen and main bath, energy efficient windows, and generous insulation.  Downstairs has radiant heat in the floor, a guest bedroom with a double bed, and a rec room with twin beds.  Sleeping accommodations for 4-6 people. House has full kitchen with dishwasher. Washer and dryer included. Easy 1 minute access down path to sandy, 150 foot wide beach in picturesque cove, where Sunfish sailboat, canoe and sailboards are available. Tennis available within 3 miles. Beautiful 9 hole golf course also at south end of lake. Village center, library (with Wi-Fi), and general store are 2.5 miles away. Please email to request photos. $250 reservation deposit required per week (deposit applied to total cost of rental). Deposit is non-refundable unless reservation is cancelled at least four weeks before starting date.

Rental weeks are from Saturday to Saturday.  (see calendar)

2010 Rates:
$900/week. Prior to July 3rd
$1800/week. July 4th to August 30th
$900/week. After August 30th
Fall/Winter rate after renovation is $200 per night (three night minimum)
